EASY TO SET SAFETY BOX FOR HOME, SHED & GARAGE CONTROL & TREATMENT
Internal Rat Trap Killer Control Box
Our rat trap box kit has been specifically designed for use within buildings and solves placement issues around sensitive areas when exposed trapping is not an option. The rat trap box helps prevent accidental contact with non-target animals and controls how the targeted rat comes into contact with the mechanism. The slim narrow design allows users to place the box within voids and other areas that our larger bait boxes may not be suitable such as under cupboard frames, below floorboards or within openings of a wall. The box measures 100mm in width, 225mm in length and a maximum height of 105mm.
Boxes can be placed in a wide range of areas around a house or outbuildings associated with rats, such as within garages, sheds and greenhouses. Placement can also be carried out in outside gardens such as under pallets, within composters or narrow passageways. For placement in external areas, users must take steps to minimise risk to non-target animals as smaller animals can access the entrance hole; for this reason, placement within enclosed voids is essential. For best results, the trap box should be placed close to the rat’s main activity points, such as nesting or known feeding sites.
As part of the kit, we include the Roshield professional rat trap, a proven trap in the control of pest rats; features include a welded kill bar, maximum strength spring and sensitive trigger plate. The trap is highly reliable, and strength provides confidence that once activated, it completes its task quickly and humanly – an issue that other similar looking rat traps do not always complete.
We recommend that trapping be carried out within ‘safe’ territories within known rat habitations; this is rare in open areas. Place traps within attic spaces, under kitchen cupboard plinths and below floorboards will always result in a faster control solution. Trapping can also be carried out within open areas, but rats are generally warier. In addition, trapping takes longer to control; if undertaken, the box is best situated behind furniture or white goods in the regions where humans are usually less frequently visiting.
The Roshield trap box is straightforward to use and requires no previous experience. The trap can be set manually within the box or, if preferred, by using the included cable tie; this additional option is also a great way to monitor the status of the trap without having to open the box manually.
This kit does not include attractants, and a suitable bait will be required for encouraging rats to enter the box. Users have the option of a professional lure such as the Roshield Bait Attractant Syringe or if preferred, a similar palatable option such as chocolate spread or peanut butter. If trapping within areas of
It is important to note that whilst this box minimises contact with the internal trap components, it does not totally eliminate the risk, access can still be obtained to the internal components through the front entrance hole. Therefore, the trap box should be away from non-target animals and children.

For homesFor best results, we recommend that the box is placed within enclosed voids such as an attic space, below floorboards or behind the lower plinths of a kitchen cupboard. Placement within these areas will always get accepted quicker by rats and will result in a faster control solution. This method will also reduce contact with non-target animals. | For outbuildingsRats are often associated with outbuildings where human habitation is minimal. Placement of the rat trap boxes within these areas allow the buildings to be used without fear of contact with the traps whilst having a fast solution of control when rats enter. This control can be for both initial prevention and treatment of active infestations. | For gardensTrap boxes can be used outside with placement focusing around voids such as under pallets, compost bins or narrow passageways. The trap box should not be placed in areas that other non-target animals can gain access to; this is important especially with small animals that can access the front entrance hole. |
Easy to set trap for ease of application
The included trap can easily be activated manually or within the enclosed cable tie. Once attached, the user can pull on the cable tie and set the trap whilst the box lid is closed; this is a valuable option for monitoring the status of a trap and an indication if the trap has been fired.
Professional rat trap included in the box
The most important aspect of our kit is the rat trap manufactured explicitly for the pest control industry and includes a high-strength spring, welded kill bar and sensitive trigger. This rat trap is highly reliable, resulting in a fast and humane kill.
