Heavy Duty Air Brick Cover to Prevent Rodents & Insects
Designed to be used in the toughest of rodent infestations and where 100% proofing of air vents are required to prevent rat, mouse and squirrel ingress. Our vent covers are designed to be used over air bricks on the external wall of properties as the first and most important defence mechanism of preventing rodents within buildings and should be an essential step to avoid re-infestation.
Metal plates are generally the preferred long-term solution to combat heavy infestations or persistent rodents, mainly rats and squirrels. This pest-proofing plate will also stop a wide range of insects, including wasps and bees.
The plates are easy to install and only require an adhesive such as LMN or four screws to the corners for a tough and secure fixing method. If using an adhesive we recommend a flexible LMN or MS-Polymer to allow for temperature fluctuations. Combination kits are available.
We currently supply 3 sizes that are suitable for the majority of proofing installations:
- 95mm x 245mm (Small/standard)
- 170mm x 245mm (Medium)
- 245mm x 245mm (Large)
They are designed and manufactured in the UK and used throughout the pest control professional industry.
IMPORTANT – Must not be used to cover air bricks or vents which are being used for the ventilation of gas appliances. Restriction or even blocking airflow can increase the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Designed for the UK market
Rodents will take advantage of holes within walls so it’s important that proofing work is carried out to prevent this. Our available sizes are designed to cover UK brick dimensions.
Easy to apply
We recommend that vents are applied to the problem area with adhesive as this is a fast, easy and secure solution; alternatively, the vents can be installed on the surface using screws and wall plugs.
Breathable*
Our rodent vent covers allow air movement into the air brick whilst preventing attacks from the toughest pests, including rats and squirrels. *Our covers should not be used on vents being used for gas appliances.
KIT SIZE
This kit includes 1 x aluminium air vent (245mm x 95mm), fixing Screws & wall plugs suitable for installing solid masonry materials. Instructions and a how-to-apply video are available.
